Each month 2,500 to 3,000 copies (depending on season) are printed with 1,375 copies mailed free to local mailboxes between Egmont and Middlepoint. The remaining copies are available for free at various locations on the Sunshine Coast and by paid subscription.
An annual subscription is $70 (includes GST).
The Harbour Spiel is a monthly publication focused on news, gossip, local events and advertising specific to the communities of Pender Harbour and Egmont. It was first published as a Christmas greeting by Myrtle Winchester in Dec. 1990. The positive response led her to continue producing the magazine monthly. Winchester published the magazine for 15 years until 2006 when ownership was transferred to Brian Lee, who pledged to continue the irreverent tradition of its previous publisher and continues to publish it.
